At the August 14, 2024 County Council meeting, Bill Smith, Manager, Homelessness Services, Community and Social Services presented a report on the activities to date to do with homelessness. The report gives some of the history plus what has been done by the County in response. It is made available here as background on the issue.
Report introduction
The purpose of this report is to provide Council with an overview of the broader County’s approach and response to homelessness, and the services provided to residents at the Brookside Encampment as requested by Council on June 19, 2024.
