This time of year is definitely a Holiday season – all stores (with few exceptions) are closed for both Christmas day and New Year’s Day, most businesses are closed for those days, the schools are closed for 2 weeks and even the Mall Rainbow Cinema is closed for Christmas day. But hours on Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve and Boxing day vary. If you are not sure, you should get your shopping for food and essentials done before Christmas Eve. You can search the Internet or phone around to get hours, but I have done that for you. The table below lists most stores plus Entertainment venues in Cobourg. The Internet is not affected by holidays – links are attached for some of the places and of course you can get a list of entertainment events at the Cobourg Internet Entertainment Calendar here (Except Movies – go to venue links).

Other stores and restaurants will have similar hours – all will be closed on Christmas day and New Year’s day, all will close early on Christmas eve and New Year’s eve and many will be open Boxing day.

Trying to find holiday hours for the downtown LCBO. Dozens of web sites listing standard hours but no reference to the holidays. This site is the only place I can find that covers the details with any credibility. Thanks for providing this for me and others.

Permit me to echo what has already been expressed by others, John, all the work to keep us updated on stuff in our special little town. Like most of us, we chose to come here and we love Cobourg. People like you have helped to make Cobourg what it is, a jewel in the crown of Northumberland.
